Despite competition from FarmVille, the number of people playing Farm Town every month is still going up and up. Why do you think that is? I personally think it’s the social aspect, and the new features that are being added by Slashkey constantly. They’re doing a grand job!

I play on farmville and farm town they both have there differences both good and bad. Farmville harvest and plowes so much better- one click on each plot NO Busy EVER! Farm Town has USELESS animals- Farmville you can harvest from you animal stock. BUt Farmville -you don’t have tropies that ive seen nor can you HIRE people out to make the extra money and points needed to level up Thats is the BONUS with FarmTown.. Farmville Graphics are much better and they don’t go down for hours at atime.
FarmTown is better ONLY because u can hire out harvesting and plowing. Without that FarmVille would be the better choice.
I disagree with Jodie about the Farmville graphics being better; I would say they most definitely are not. I would, however, like to see Farm Town implement something to make the animals useful.

Hey, I just discovered something that I thought I would share. You may already know about it, tho.
When planting crops, if you have lots to plant, but don’t want to wait for your avatar to actually finish, just hit “play” and the planting will all be done without waiting. I’m impatient that way!
Does anyone know what is going on with FT glitches as of late? I am unable to see, be seen, hire or be hired in the Marketplace. Sometimes I am able to reload and the everything comes through correctly, but as of today I am completely unable to complete any of the above mentioned items in the Marketplace. I have to go to the Inn to hire and be hired. I have also noticed that my name does not show up in the chat box at the bottom when i type things out. HELP!
I agree, the Farmtown graphics is better then Farmville, but yet farmville is easier to harvest and plant. I have been on level 34 for a month now and don’t know what else to do. Is there another goal for me?
It seems to me that Slashkey is limiting the levels for now to keep the people waiting for more, while slowly leaking out more stuff to keep enticing us to stay. But, with the fact that I am now on lv 33 with nothing more to look forward to than getting 34 and a big mansion, I don’t know if there is much more for me to hang around for than investing into my 401k by continuing to harvest for other people cause the experience points are useless after that. I hope that an upgrade is coming soon, maybe even a Farm Town 2 perhaps. I love the game but I have to agree there are areas that are lacking and there are areas that are great. For now I would recommend to SlashKey buy some more servers to keep the flow of the game going smooth, this is everyones biggest complaint so why not fix that. You could make the pipe bandwidth big enough for 40 million users now seeing as how there are only 22 million people playing as of now, this will keep us all happy for the next year or so. Of course, bigger plots, like a 30×30 or even more house and building choices would be great too, maybe even a design your own system would be great but keep it simple. That is what we would like I think, but only time will tell what they will dish out next.
I joined Farmville first. Then, I was invited by a facebook friend to be his neighbor on Farm Town. I’ve been hooked on FT ever since. The only thing I like better on FV is how cute my avatar is, with her little blushing cheeks.I much prefer the vast variety of layouts I can create on my FT acreage. And I definitely find FT much more of a community site than FV. So, although on FV my little cheeks are rosy and red, all my crops are brown and dead because I’ve lost interest. LOL
Like Farm Town more because of the social aspect. and because you can be more creative. Like Farmville’s animals that you can “harvest” but overall, Farmville is boring. I am at Level 34 on Farm Town and plan on just planting and harvesting so I can keep buying and selling things to change the look of my farm periodically.
I really like playing farmtown but i wish they would make the lots bigger too i’m at level 34 nothing left to really buy and if i wanted to where would i put it excepted to sell of other things and start redoing my farm which i have about 5 times.
I much prefer FarmTown to FV. For me, FV is too cartoony. I like rearranging my farm and change it up. I just wish we could plant and harvest flowers also. Kind of like having a flower farm.
I think that once it was very too difficult to reach levels before i don’t remember which level and so a lot of people geave up playing, but now it’s easier so a person can have some satisfacion in playing.
Nevertheless, I think that Farm Town creators should be more inventive like special limited edition seeds with more exp then usual sometimes randomly and / or when there is a celebretion during the year or in special periods of year more fuel or fuel rechargable less then every 8 hours.
Nevertheless, I have to say really compliments to the staff because a lot has been made to let revive this game.
And yes, i’m for joe’s comment: flowers! , but also new tree, and 1 new seed every level or almost every level, and also more precious then pineapple…….i mean as far as a person goes up with levels, the seed should be paid more and give you more
